Summer Days – September Team Update

With summer winding down its time to check in with the team and see what everyone has been up to. We are only 8 weeks away from opening day and temperatures everywhere are continuing to drop.

After one of his best seasons to date, JP Walker has just gotten back from a well-deserved break in Cabo, Mexico.  The waves were great and the surfing was pretty epic. Besides a little trouble with the law it sounded like a great trip and he met a couple of new friends.

Speaking of summer, fishing is always at the top of everyone’s list.  Risto and Fredu just got back from a fishing trip in Northern Finland. They slept in tents and froze their asses off. Temperatures dipped below freezing in the tent which probably ended up with some “I ain’t gay but I’m freezing” cuddling to stay warm.

Joe Sexton has been doing some therapy on his knee that he tore halfway through last season. The operation went well last May and he should be back in action by December of this year. Here he is fishing with his # 1 fan and super dad John Sexton. Hey John is that the bait or the catch?

Simon is currently in Mexico with his babe then off to Japan for a Nomis shop tour.

Stian has been chilling in Norway this summer and having some mellow ones by the beach and on his friends boat.

Markku Koskinator took a break from the summer weather and is currently in New Zealand with the Quicksilver team getting some heli days in.

Scott Vine is recovering from a tweaked back he got at summer camp this past summer.

Man Am Chris Wimbles was last seen throwing his hammer at his construction foreman and picking a fight with the fat lady in the lunch truck. Hang in there Wimbles, winter is coming.

E-man Anderson just signed on with Sessions Canada which means that we will have to start taking him a bit more seriously.

Mack Dawg “Down With People” and “Double Decade” Premier

Oakley hosted a private or sorta private viewing of Mack Dawg’s newest projects. It was an emotional night, 2 weeks ago Dawger sent out a letter annoucing to the snowboard community that he will no longer make snowboard movies, and that he was moving on to other projects.

We will keep this write up brief, all we can say is put these two movies on your must watch list for this season. You will not be disapointed.
