"CHILD SUPPORT" filming update March 16th 2007
Simon and Stian have been in Tahoe riding with Knut Eliassen and filming with Chris Edmands. Here is a report from Edmands. Rumor has it that he still has his Mohawk.
"Things have been great here in Tahoe, California for a couple of weeks now. We received a couple of really big dumps that restored our backcountry to near normal snow levels. Simon, Stian and Knut Eliassen hit the pow every day whether it was snowing, blowing, or beautiful. Twice we even had day and night sessions, one of them lasted seventeen hours. 7,000 watts from two generators, 500 feet of extension cord, nine lights, three flashes, two cans of fuel, five guys, ten sandwiches, three liters of coffee, eight snow sleds and a lot of candy made for a really long but productive evening. There is just something cool about being nine miles deep in the backcountry hitting a jump at night with good friends while it's snowing. Needless to say the boys were beat the next day and rested. We hit cliffs, kickers, windlips and some fun jibs the rest of the days while the cold temps lasted. The boys really impressed me with their abilities to ride all sorts of different terrain and it was a great reward to see them stomping some rad shit. Just today the snow got warm everywhere and we're off to ride some park and recharge. The forecast is calling for more snow so we'll be back at it really soon with a few more faces here in Tahoe. Later, Shredmands"
In Other news:
Jed Anderson has been doing some stuff around Calgary with his filmer buddy Graham. Graham is a bitter 270 pound bodybuilder and his dog has just died. Jed says that they haven't been getting kicked out any spots yet - could have something to do with the filmer.
Steve Cartwright has been doing quite a bit of urban stuff around Toronto as temperatures have dropped drastically in the past couple weeks "and then the rain turned to snow." -Steve also has this crazy log jib in his back yard. He has been filming with Nomis rep Nate.
Chris Wimbles and Mark Sollars have been hitting up some resorts in Northwestern Washington - Check out the size of these snow banks! Mark found out that the best use for skis is fence boards. "I would rather see them on a fence than on my feet..."
